An interesting report from a bunch of baffled-sounding Doctors in Pittsburgh suggests subtle and life-threatening effects from depression in the elderly.

The study showed that, all other health problems aside, people over 65 suffering from depression were still twice as likely to die as those not depressed.

The researchers speculate that an effect on the immune system may be to blame.
